MEAL WITH BROWN OFF * 4 The latest development in the case of the Homewood track is that II. D. "Curly" Brown, well-known builder of the Oriental Park track in Cuba, and others in this country, but who of late years has been devoting his time to the breeding and racing of horses, has not secured control of Washington Park. This is on the authority of Bob Sweitzer. who says the deal fell through. Browns name was not known to Sweitzer and his associates, as they were dealing with him as an unknown client of a local law firm. It is expected that some definite information regarding the control of the Homewood plant will be known within a few days. A 1
