ANOTHER CHICAGO TRACK New Organization to Conduct Racing on Northwest Side American National Jockey Club of Chicago ChicagoPlans Plans 2000000 PlantrH D Brown BrownDirecting Directing Manager Announcement was made yesterday by the law firm of Kirkland Patterson Fleming of the formation of the American National Jockey Club of Chicago with a capitaliza ¬ tion of 52000000 to build a new race track on the northwest side of Chicago fea ¬ turing besides flat racing steeplechasing drag hunts polo and golf golfThe The American National Jockey Club of Chicago is composed of a group of Chicago men well known socially and in the business districts of the metropolis of the West Mr Kirkland stated the formation of Chicagos newest and locally controlled jockey club has been under way for several months during which time they have been in com ¬ munication with Harry D Brown inter ¬ nationally known builder manager and thoroughbred breeder of California Mr Brown retired from active participation in building and managing race tracks several years ago since which time he had de ¬ voted his attention to the breeding of thor ¬ oughbreds on his 2000acre ranch at Mt Shasta Calif and racing a stable of horses of his own production productionMr Mr Brown it is said accepted the offer of the new jockey club conditionally that he and his friends be permitted to buy one fourth of the capital stock and any unsub ¬ scribed stock not bought by the residents of Chicago or people of Illinois At the present time it is reported Mr Brown has personally invested in the recently formed company sev ¬ eral hundred thousand dollars and with his Chicago friends will largely control the destiny of the north side racing organiza ¬ tion The acquisition of H D Brown as the active directing manager of a Chicagos own racing organization denotes the business in ¬ genuity of the men controlling the American National Jockey Club and promises the resi ¬ dents of Illinois the erection of one of the finest racing plans in the world magnificent modern and up to date in every way and horse racing of the highest class classThe The new jockey club has under considera ¬ tion it is reported three sites located on the northwest side of Chicago all within thirty minutes ride by train from the loop and within easy access by automobile each site being reached by the broad boulevards and concrete paved highways of the north side of Chicago Announcement of the exact loca ¬ tion of the new plant it is said will be made within the next ten days Continued on fourteenth page ANOTHER CHICAGO TRACK Continued from first pace The American National Jockey Club of Chicago has been formed by Chicago business men Avith the intention of giving the residents of Chicago a locally oAvned race track Avithin easy access of the center of the city both by train and automobile and Avhich can be referred to by all true born Chicagoons as Our Jockey Club It is to be a Chicago institution and Chicagpans Avill be em ¬ ployed as far as possible in conducting the business by the association associationLincoln Lincoln Fields race course located at Crete 111 and Washington Park located at HomeAvood III also liaAe on their direc ¬ torate ChicagoansIt some very prominent Chicagoans It is the desire of the American National Jockey Club to Avork in harmony Avith the other racing associations in Illinois and most probably a readjustment of fall racing dates Avill be made in the Aery near future as the new race course located on the nortlnvest side of Chicago Avil prepare to give a thirty days meeting in the coming fall in Septem ¬ ber or October
