CLAIMING CARD AT OMAHA Circuit Guinea Gold and Variation VariationReward Reward Backers of Favorites Bill Seth a Failure OMAHA Neb June 2 An allclaiming card was provided for the Omaha race fans at AkSarBen Field today and although the horses lacked the class of those that per ¬ formed on opening day they furnished good sport The crowd showed a falling off which was to be expected after opening day but it is estimated that about 4000 were in attend ¬ ance The weather continued fair and the track was fast fastCircuit Circuit the favorite was easily best in the first race She went to the center of the track while leading at the stretch turn but still retained her advantage and won handily John Hoshor was second and Ann McKinney third thirdGuinea Guinea Gold was the second successful fa ¬ vorite to win She took the second race by a narrow margin from Seths Bacon with Olie E third The latter and Little Change set the pace but the winner caught and passed them in the stretch stretchBill Bill Seth topheavy choice failed dismally in the third race and did not get any part of the purse The race was won by a first time starter May Cooper from the stable of J W Marchbank She led for the entire distance Kobin the extreme outsider fin ¬ ished second and paid 7380 to place while Perfect Model was third thirdThe The third favorite of the afternon to be returned victorious was Variation which scored in the fourth She was well ridden by Peterson and catching the early leaders at the last turn drew away easily Timothy was second and Singing Cricket third The winner was claimed by J JL Hizar for 1500 1500Dell Dell Evans led all the way in the fourth race and won by a length from the fast finishing Green Spring Slippery Smilo fin ¬ ished third after meeting with early inter ¬ ference
