Won driving; second and third the same. LENNY moved up fast on the outside leaving the back stretch, wore down MY IDEAL in the stretch and eot up to win in the closing strides. MY IDEAL showed good speed throughout and held on well in the final drive. MISS ROSEDALE raced on the outside of the others, came wide into the stretch, but finished well. FALLEN LEAF was crowded back on the far turn, but saved much ground entering the stretch. BLACK VELVET gained steadily on the outside and finished fast. MRS. FOSTER could not get up. NORMA JEAN dropped back suddenly after rounding the far turn. LET HER PLAY was shuffled back on the far turn, but finished courageously DONNA DEAR closed with a rush in the last eighth. ESPLANADE showed early speed, but tired, as did DOROTHY HICKS. MOLERITO moved up fast after rounding the far turn and, overhauling the leaders entering the stretch, drew away an eighth out, but had to be shaken up near the end to retain his advantage. THOMAS PATRICK improved his position in the last half mile and came fast on the outside of the others and was wearing down the winner. TITLE OAK raced into a contending position approaching the stretch turn, then tired. WOOD-GAIN closed fast. HIGHWAY closed a big gap after being shuffled back early. THISTLE VIC, SI RELIEF and ULTIMATE VOTE showed early speed, but all tired badly in the last quarter.
