BODY PATTERSON DIES NEW YORK N Y June 7 Rody Pat ¬ terson brother of Charles Kimball and George Patterson passed away yesterday in Bedford Ohio at the age of 66 His first connection with racing was through harness horses and about 1890 he campaigned the fast pacer Bessemer through the Grand Circuit winning many of the big stakes Later he transferred his activities to the throughbreds and as recently as 1920 trained Lady Rosebud and others for Robert I Gerry The Patterson brothers Charley and Kimball were long in the forefront of Amer ¬ ican trainers Charley having trained such champions as Ornament Brooklyn arid Brighton Handicap winner Hamburg champion twoyearold of 1897 and Omar Khayyam Kentucky Derby winner of 1917 while Kimball trained Leonardo II and Eter ¬ nal winner of the Hopeful and other rich prizes Patterson will be buried in Lexing ¬ ton where rests his brother Charley as well as Byron McClelland and many other Kentucky horsemen of fame
