FAVOR L D KERN FOR POST ON ILLINOIS RACING COMMISSION COMMISSIONAt At a luncheon held at the Palmer House yesterday the Illinois Thoroughbred Horse Owners and Breeders Association by unani ¬ mous vote selected L D Kern prominent Chicago attorney and coowner with his brother M A Kern of the Lexbrook Stable as its choice for the vacancy now existing on the Illinois Racing Commission CommissionThe The name of L D Kera was immediately submitted to Governor Dwight H Green with the organizations request that the va ¬ cancy be filled as soon as possible Gov ¬ ernor Green has indicated that he would look with favor upon any person named by the association associationA A large and representative turnout of members was in attendance and quite a number of new owners joined the organiza ¬ tion A drive has been started to sign up eveiy eligible Illinois owner now racing at Sportsmans Park
