Klinder 100 121 Twin Features Carded At Sportsmans Park ParkSameron Sameron and Three Clovers Head Garfield Park South Bend Purses PursesCICERO CICERO 111 May 1 Indications point to thoroughbreds of mudrunning propensi ¬ ties finding favor with the fans at Sports ¬ mans Park tomorrow afternoon although the National Jockey Clubs strip is equipped with an excellent drainage system and it has been stated that it has seldom been muddy or heavy Early Monday afternoon prospects for a good track were indeed dim but that fact liad made no difference to the trainers who during the morning hours had been liberal with their entries for the races of Tuesday TuesdayRacing Racing secretary Patrick Galliger has spotted Tuesdays twin features the Gar field Park and the South Bend as fifth and sixth races respectively on the eight race program The distance of each fracas will be seven furlongs Sameron a recent arrival is top weight in the Garfield Park with 115 pounds while Three Clovers will carry a like burden in the South Bend BendInasmuch Inasmuch as but one horse in the two races namely Try Fin who showed up fairly well Saturday has been to the post at this meeting the speculatively inclined patrons must draw their conclusions from the horses performances at other tracks or scan the workout sheets for their goodies The grapevine has it that Sameron Happy Pilot and Brilliant Fly may be the trouble ¬ some trio in the Garfield Park with Strombus a possibility in the event of mud and that either Don Devito or Latent will garner the spoils in the South Bend with Three Clovers looming as a menace menaceThe The first race at the meeting for Illinois foaled horses will fill the third niche on the bill and seven have been entered with Private Howie in the money opening day looming as one of the favorites The Pri ¬ vates race Saturday was commendable He and Grand News are topweighted with 116
