Jockey Fees and Groom Awards Increased for Fairmount Meet MeetCOLLTNTSVILLE COLLTNTSVILLE 111 May 24 Increases in both jockey fees and groom awards for Fairmount Parks 27day meeting opening Saturday were announced today by Gen ¬ eral Manager D C Burnett Winning riders will receive 35 this year instead of the customary 25 while jockeys having mounts in the same race 15 In past seasons the winning riders fees were 25 and all other jockeys received 10 10All All grooms leading horses to the pad ¬ dock will be paid 2 while the groom of the winning horse will receive 5 addi ¬ tional tionalThe The Increase in jockey fees and groom awards follows in the wake of the tracks recent announcement that minimum purses for the entire season would be 700 which sum is 100 over the prevailing fig ¬ ure for last year yearBurnett Burnett also revealed that post time for the first race will be 200 p iri daily which will enable the runningoff of the eightrace program in ample time to get the patrons home for dinner in the eve ¬ ning
