Aqueduct Summer Meet Gets Under Way Monday MondayEight Eight Races Will Be Run Daily With Early Post of 11 5 P M MNEW NEW YORK N Y June 2 Racing moves Monday to the nearest track to this city the compact plant of the Queens County Jockey Club at Aqueduct Here for 24 days there will be eight race pro ¬ grams with an early post time of 115 p m the earliest that the sport has ever started Aqueduct will offer either a steeplechase or hurdle race each day with seven on the flat flatDown Down for decision during this summer meeting are nine stakes two of them rank ¬ ing with the most valuable in the country the Dwyer to be run June 24 and the Brooklyn Handicap to be run July 1 both with 50000 added addedThe The Dwyer provides the feature for rac ¬ ings War Bond Day when all five of the New York racing associations join in un ¬ derwriting a day of racing to which ad ¬ mission will be by War Bond only This is in addition to the regular system in force at each track all during the season when anybody so desiring can purchase a War Bond for admission On June 24 admis ¬ sion will be by War Bond only onlyOpening Opening day will see the first stake con ¬ tested the Queens County Handicap at a mile and a sixteenth for threeyearolds and up with 10000 added to the purse purseTo To these are added several stakes for steeplechasers and some of the best horses in training will be in action on the popular
