Twenty-Seven to Contest English Derby Renewal By Special Correspondent NEWMARKET, England, June 9.— King George VI. s Rising Light will head the field of 27 horses that will go postward here tomorrow for the one hundred and sixty-fifth consecutive renewal of the Derby Stakes, acclaimed as the worlds greatest horse race.
