Darby Dieppes Big Chance LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 8. — If Darby Dieppe, the surprise Blue Grass Stakes winner, should carry the white and purple silks of Mrs. Willie G. Lewis of Evarts, Ky., to victory in tomorrows seventy-first Kentucky Derby, he will become the first gray horse in history to win the blue-ribbon event. In 70 previons Derby runnings, the race has been won by 31 bays, 24 chestnuts, 11 browns and four blacks. Among the grays who have made unsuccessful Derby bids are First Fiddle, Prince D Amour and Kiev.
