No 5 Post Seems Luckiest LuckiestCHURCHILL CHURCHILL DOWNS Louisville Ky May 3 The No 5 post position seems to be the luckiest for entries in the Kentucky Derby The horse breaking from that posi ¬ tion has wone nine Derbies since 1900 The one breaking from the No 4 position has won seven times during the same period and No 1 came in a winner seven times The horse to win with the greatest start ¬ ing distance from the rail was Clyde Van Dusen who started from the No 20 posi ¬ tion in 1928 and went on to outrun his field Incidentally No 13 never has won the Derby during this period
