Kentucky Notes CHURCHILL DOWNS Louisville Ky May 11 11J J Warfield Rodgers returned to his home in Memphis Term after witnessing the Kentucky Derby renewal last Saturday The Rodgers horses are quartered here now in charge of Tommy Root Roscoe Goose widelyknown turfman plans to leave for Hawthorne immediately after the close of the Churchill Downs meeting William Boganowski former rider and now owner and trainer of his own stable expects to race in Illinois this year and he will leave for Hawthorne after the close of the Kentucky spring season seasonJess Jess Trent moved 16 horses over from Douglas Park taking the stall space vacat ¬ ed by the John Marsch stable which has been shipped to Chicago D C Wilhelm motored from Fairmount Park and plans to remain here for several days Wilhelm is in the market for several horses in training At the last minute the deal between the John Marsch stable and jockey Willie Lee Johnson failed to materialize according to announcement by trainer Burley Parke of the Marsch establishment Immediately after the close of Churchill Downs Cliff Sanford clerk of scales will go to Charles Town and report for duty there as a member of the ocial staff Sanford passed up the Lincoln Fields meet ¬ ing this year and Charles J Gormley Jr will serve as clerk of scales at the meeting which opens at Hawthorne on next Mon ¬ day Apprentice Eddie Dahhauer has made preparations to pack his tack and leave for Randall Park Danhauer accompanied by his father A J Danhauer who will act as his agent expects to ride on the Ohio circuit throughout the summer summerCharles Charles Nagle has appointed Al Breed love to train his lone colorbearer Pari laras during the remainder of the meet ¬ ing Nagle will ship the filly to Fairmount Park later joining the five head which he has quartered there Walter Wilkerson has received approval for stalls at River Downs and will leave for I there at the close of the local meeting with a dozen head which he campaigns for sev ¬ eral patrons Stoddard Griffin checked in at Churchill Downs from Keeneland with the five horses he will campaign here during the balance of the current meeting Former jockey M L Fallen who recently took over the training of a stable of horses for local owner M J Hogan stated that he will ship nine head to Monmouth Park at the finish of the Churchill Downs meeting D E Holeman owner of Pilot Knib Farm and one of the larger stables racing here has gone to Lexington but will return here before going to Tennessee for Satur ¬ days revival of the Iroquois Memorial chase Mrs George B Leach wife of the presid ¬ ing steward and publicity director at Church Downs came over from Lexington to be with her husband who is temporarily confined to his hotel apartment due to illness P R Hinton stated today that Nephew Nephewron ron and Niecesue are to be sent to his hisLexington Lexington farm and will remain there until untilhe he ships his entire stable to the Detroit Detroiti i Fair Grounds
