VENNIE under stout restraint early saved ground when making his move slipped through entering the stretch disposed of JUSTINIAN II leaving the sixteenth post and won drawing away JUSTiNIAN II dropped back after half a mile came again on the outside rounding the final turn took command nearing the furlong post then weakened slightly in the final strides OCEANUS restrained for a mile began working way up on the outside turning into the stretch then closed well under pressure but was unable to menace OLE WHIZ set the pace under stout restraint but weakened when overtaken AFFAIR well placed throughout faltered in the drive WORTHOWNING passed tiring horses WOLF CREEK tired steadily HEFTI HARRIS was unable to make up ground under urging AMERICAN FIRE tired after six furlongs MUREX was done inside and closed willingly under pressure SIR BOB saved ground on the first turn was forwardly placed going to the final turn then weakened LINWOOD WAG passed tiring horses POOKA was unable to reach
