YOUR SUN easily displaced OUR TORCH on the turn and drew away to a handy score while never in danger. SIR GALAQUIN was never able to menace the winner but finished fairly well to hold ANNA GAB. The latter, outrun early, closed fast along the inside. RASTROL went evenly. POLANARO failed to make up much ground. OUR TORCH stopped after showing high speed the opening half. GRAIN MARKET, in the thick of contention throughout, remained in the middle of the track for the drive and continued willingly to the wire. FIDDLES was in tight quarters all down the backstretch and closed well when clear in the stretch. THREE HIGH shot from the pack to take a lead heading for home, came wide for the drive and weakened through the final sixteenth. DIANA ROSSY came from far back in a stout effort. JOE FUNK raced up on the outside to reach contention then tired. LITTLE KNICK stopped badly. TARPAN was a strong factor at the furlong pole when he broke down in the right front leg. LOVERS VAN rushed right up to join the leaders, raced BIT 0 PINE into defeat and withstood the closing drive of MISS GABRIEL. The latter lacked the speed to be prominent early, but closed fastest of all in a good performance. MARIAN ROSE escaped the early crowding, remained along the inside and closed ground. BIT 0 PINE dueled for the lead to midstretch, then tired. STICKER BURR was taken up repeatedly while in close quarters several times. SPINNERS BOY also had a very rough trip. SNEAKY PETE started to make his move on the outside, took back to go through on the inside and coming very well through the final furlong got BENWOOD FLYER in the last stride. The latter, in hand while cutting the pace, responded when roused in deep stretch and just missed. CHARDAN raced close to the pace to the stretch and weakened slightly. MISS PIETRA closed well and may want more distance. MEDICATION could not keep up and weakened. PELOTA MISS stopped after a quarter. Overweight— Miss Pietra. 1 pound. REDISC0 slipped up on the inside to take the lead early, but was trying to get out all the way around the turn ana after losing much ground, continued wide through the stretch run. WHENAS AND IF sprinted sprinted right to the front, hugged the rail whie rounding the turn and tired slightly in the final seventy yards. WINDY LAD was along to best VELVET BOUND. The latter weakened from chasing the pace to the final furlong. OSLAM went evenly NORTH PENNANT delayed the start while his broken equipment was changed, then showed nothing in the running. HONEST ISAM, unhurried while picking up the field gradually, came around SON JOSS to assume command and drew off to a handy score. The latter slipped through on BROWN PET to gain command when straightened for the run down the backstretch, could not match the winners strength but carried on well. HOLLY MAC, sluggish while outrun early, rallied only mildly BROWN PET was hustled to the lead from the gate but could not maintain his advantage. NORMAN J. showed nothing. DANDY SCHOLAR, showing marked improvement at the gate, had the pacesetters measured from the outside, and came around them to win with authority under light urging to the end. BEE KEE had his usual fine stretch kick to finish well. GWINVILLE raced to command as POI bolted, but tired when the real test came. HAVING FUN seemed to be bogged down on the inside, was taken out for the drive and closed better when in the middle of the track. HADAPAST trailed most of the trip. POI sprinted right to the front after the break, but bolted to the outside fence while rounding the turn. Overweight— Poi, 3 pounds. For late chart see tomorrows issue
