Explanation of Racing Form Indexed Entries and Past Performances Condition of track tn Indexed entries is fast or good unless shown by the following abbreviations: si, slow; sy, sloppy; m, muddy; hy, heavy. X Gqod mud runner. * Fair mud runner. ® Superior mud runner. "f" after final odds denotes field; "e" after final odds denotes entry; 4 denotes favorite in race; § three pounds apprentice allowance; * five pounds apprentice allowance; 11 six pounds apprentice allowance; • seven pounds apprentice allowance; •*• ten pounds apprentice allowance. Following horses name, M Indicates maiden on flat and MJ indicates maiden steeplechaser. Class of race is denoted by the following abbreviations: Mdn, maidens; AlwM, maiden allowance; AIw, allowance; AlwA, graded allowance; AlwS, allowance stake; HcpO, overnight handicap; HcpA, graded handicap; HcpS, handicap stake; Wfa, welght-for-age; WfaS, weight-for-age stake; ScwS, scale weight stake; SplWS, special weight stake; Comb, combination race; SplW, special weight; Mtch, match race. Some of these abbreviations also are used to denote steeplechase and hurdle races. In such cases an S in a single bracket, [S, is used for steeplechases, and H in a single bracket, CH, indicates hurdle events. Claiming races are Indicated by price after jockeys name. The superior letter "o" just before claiming prjee indicates that horse was In optional claiming race but that he was NOT entered to be claimed. Claiming price for today is given after trainers name, "c" before claiming price indicates horse was claimed. Imported horses shown after breeders-name. Post position is shown after jockeys name. When horse breaks from outside the gate his original post position will be shown in a circle, thus: ©. Combination races are same as optional claiming races. Figure given after claiming price is speed rating. Last line in past performance gives horses latest workout Best time of each horse since January 1, 1951, at the distance entered, is shown in the indexed entries. No record is given horses beaten more than fifteen lengths. -.
