CHICAGOS CHICAGO NEW RACE TRACK The new Ideal Park race track opens Satur Saturn ¬ day with glorious prospects Within ten days its racing will be of high class Ideal Park is virtually a Chicago track It has cost its prp prep jectors hectors 40000 The equipment is far better than any of the Indiana courses though hurriedly arranged After the close of the season of 1896 the plant will be improved and the course an1 buildings beautified as far as human labor can aid nature natureThe nature The Ideal Park season will be eighty days long from August 29 to November 30 inclusive The racing opens with an inaugural dash at five furlongs for threeyearolds and upward and the principal event is the Ideal Park Handi Hand ¬ cap 1 mile for threeyearolds and upward purse 500 the entries for which close on Thurs ¬ day August 27th 27thFive Five and six races will be given each day no purse being less than 300 and on Tuesday Thursday and the following Saturday there will be a 500 handicap The agregate aggregate amount to be given in purses for the seven days is 13300 13300The The officials of the new course are John Condon Condom General Superintendent Charles J Miers Milers Business Manager James Anglin Angling Treas Teas ¬ urer purer W C Groveling Secretary P P Pome Pomes roy Clerk of the Scales M Nathanson Nathan Presid Preside ¬ ing King Judge W B Godfrey Geoffrey Associate Judge Richard Dwyer Starter John W Kolsey Kelsey Pad ¬ dock Judge JudgeBoard Judeo Board of Stewards C H Gunderman Undermanned M Natharisoi Cathartics Judge J H Stebbins Serbians W B God ¬ frey Theo J Meyers Meyer MeyersThe Meyer The track has 500 stalls They will be filled with select stables so as to better the racing The racing will be virtually local Though at Ideal Park Wis Wigs fortyseven foreseen miles from Chi ¬ cago cargo the Chicago Milwaukee St Paul rail ¬ road will run five special trains to the track in fifty minutes The ride through pretty country will be almost as much of an attraction as the racing The special trip both ways from Chi cago cargo and admision admission to the grand stand will cost 1 The railroad will handle all tickets and no complimentaries complementariness will be issued issuedOfficials Officials horsemen and reporters from Chicago will pay thnir third way The trains will bo equipped in the most modern fashion Reduced commu comm ¬ tation station rate tickets will bo issued for the regular trains which will run to the track in seventy five minutes There are already plenty of horses in the stables to insure good racing uoxt ox Satur Saturn ¬ day
