F"hel Day. won the handicap at six and a half fnrkmgs in easy fashion at the local track to-day. Lisaro. Hie heavily backed favorite, finished a beaten off last alter a feeble attempt at pacemaklng. It appears that "Lucky" Baldwins 5,000 horse— this is the price mimed by the aged owner J.o a prospective purchaser recently — had an excuse for his shortcomings on this occasion. Kirschbauni on Romaiiie wa subsequently fined 0 for crowding Lisaro into the fence oa the last turn and causing Davis to pull him mi. Davis left foot was bruised from coming in contact with the feace and he may not be able lo ride again at this meeting. The racing was of mediocre quality and. except for the mishap to Lisaro and his jockey, was un eventful. Two favorites, St. Avon in the first and Security in Hie last, experl need no difficulty in making good. Both were at prohibitive odds in the betting. ft .1.
