From a good start l!at Masterson moved up into close pursuit of Jack Atkin and, challenging gamely when midway of the stretch, linally passed the tiring pacemaker and won drawing away. Jack Atkin, from an indifferent send-off, soon ran iiitojlhe lead and set a terrific pace for live furlongs and tired from it, but held on resolutely to the end. Berwick quickly got into a forward position and finished a game and fast going third. Danoscara made up ground steadily and ran a good race at the weights. Wel-Ixmrne closed a gap and was going fast at the end. Smoker showed early sieed and tired in the stretch drive. Oxford ran well. The others were always outpaced. Scratched 70172lr. Killiecrankie quickly established a small lead and, keeping it throughout, finally won out in a game finish. .I.Tsoy Lady was in close and resolute pursuit of the winner nearly all the way and should have won, but " failed to get up under a weakly ridden finish. Ocean Spray made up ground steadily into a fast going third and ran a good race. Anneta Lady made up ground from a slow start and appeared dangerous in the stretch, but tired in the last sixteenth. Irizette is- a good filly, took the lead at once and kept it to the homestretch by a narrow margin, then came 011 like a shot and won in a canter. Magazine ran a fast, game race, but was opposed to superior speed and doing his best at the finish to withstand Black Mary. The latter, after trailing in the early running, came with a rush through the stretch and almost got up for second place. Tenancy by Courtesy made up much ground in the last half. Bellwether showed early sieed, but quit in the stretch run. Ella ONeill tired badly. Master Robert was unlucky and impeded, but ran a bad race. Scratched 70150 George Considine, 101.
