Fort Johnson dew out decisively and .won all the way unextendod. was much the best and shows steady im-provenient. Johnnie Blake broke -slowly and rapidly improved his position on the last turn into a fast going second, but never menaced the winner. Win. II. Lyon was in nearest pursuit of the winner to the stretch, where he succumbed for second place. Maycella ran prominently and held on well. Boeina was unable to raise a respectable gallop. Maximilian indulged Lights Out with the lead for a mile and a half, then drew out and won as his rider pleased. Lights Out went well, hut only saved second place owing to a lack of serious or strenuous opposition from Kernel. Momentum broke flat footed and pulling up anil was whipped up into the lead on the inside, then set a tremendous pace and drew out and only cantered for the last three furlongs. Belle of Iroquois was outpaced in Hie early running, hut linished witli a rush. Kllliecninkle kept gaining steadily and was a fast coming third. The Wrestler essayed to keep pace with Momentum and quit badly at the end or the first oiiarter. The winner was entered for .00; no bid. Dandelion, lucky at the start and forwanlly placed, drew out in the last furlong and made good finally under tiie whip. Vails, bumped and shoved around by the winner and Oxford at the post, was imallv caught in a wedge formed by these two at the start and for a quarter was repeatedlv interfered with, rail si great race, but could never get up and was best. Oxford suffered at the start, closed up too fnst, loomed up on the inside in the last quarter and was forced Into a pocket and failed to get up, but ran a pood race. Peter Sterling trailed to the middle halt and closed up with a rush at the end and. went well throughout, but was hot quite good enough. Won easily; second and third driving. Pence outbroke, outpaced and outstayed the others decisively. Zipaugh broke well on the inside and was reserved in the middle running, then closed up rapidly in the last three furlongs into a fast going Second. Ed Ball ran well up on the inside and was pocketed finally and crowded all through the stretch by Zipango and beaten out of third place, but is extra good. Quagga closed a big gap in the last -half and ran a cracking race. Vino, badly ridden, was prominent throughout and finished close up. Daley, from a flying start, set the early pace and was taken back on the far turn, then came fast again, but swerved across the leaders and won out luckily. Onatassa was shut off early and nearly thrown to the fence by the winner when coming fast on the inside midway of the stretch. A claim of foul was not allowed. Thomas Flyer closed a big gap in the last half anil is Improving. Jubilee Juggins showed brilliant early speed, but failed to stay. Glaucus ran prominently for a half mile. Banrida tired hi the closing drive. Scratched 70050 Orcagna, 110; 70597 Mae Hamilton, 107. Overweights Miss Marjorie, 4 pounds.
