Campaigner, well np throughout, tired at the end nnd was driving hard to stall off spunky. The latter closed a gap and finished fast. Golf Ball was prominent to the stretch, then tired. The latter came through on the inside in the stretch run and. finishing fast and resolutely, would have beaten the winner in another stride. Hawkslllght was much used in keeping pace with the winner for the lirst half and tired under punishment. George S. Davis made up ground. Otsi Keta showed early speed.
