Alauda, sharply cut off at the start and forced to pull up. closed a big gap and finished witli a rush. Euripides showed early speed, but tired badly in the last quarter. Glaucus had a rough, trip and mot with repeated interference, but finished gamely in the final drive and outstayed New Garter. The latter dropped back on the backstrctch. but finished fast through the last half. Countermand swerved over against Glaucus at the eighth post, but came again when straightened out. Laughiug Eyes and Gowanga both tired in the stretch and Delaby was casing the latter up at the end. Scratched 77C15 Forest nawk, 102. 77662 Fourth Race About 2 Miles. Hunters Steeplechase. Southwest, a tine fencer, followed the early pacemaker under stout restraint until in the last turn of the field, then went to the front and drew away in a canter. Warrenton jumped well, hut tired badly in the last half. Brother Frank faltered after ging one turn of the field aud pulled up lame. Bertha Barker bolted out of the course at the turn out of the infield on the far turn. Warrior fell at the first iunip. but was remounted and finished. Warrior and Bertha Barker finished as named.
