PULKA IS DISQUALIFIED SAGER AWARDED PURSE IN RACE IN WHICH HE FINISHES SECOND Swerving of Horse That Passes Judges First Fol ¬ lowed by Prompt Official Action Jockey Held Blameless Jacksonville Fla February 11 Thero was more rough riding it Moncreif Park this afternoon and one of the few disqualifications of the meeting came sifter Pulka finished in advance of Sager in the fourth race The interference In this race occurred in the last furlong when Pulka suddenly shot across in front of Sager forcing Butwell to pull up But wells claim of foul was promptly allowed and Pulka was placed1 second Ganz who had the mount on Pulka was not at fault for the foul1 as Pulka has repeatedly shown an inclination to swerve to the rail The action of the ollicials pleased the large crowd present as Sager was a wellbacked second choice The only close finish of the afternoon came with the running of thu third race which went to Ruble in a head decision over Tres Toll The races were run over a heavy track and it was one of the few occasions during the meeting that the mud runners sictually had an opportunity of showing their merit The change in the going was probably responsible in a measure for the defeat of soine of the choices Ruble was the only successful favorite favoriteJohn John AA Iangle furnished the winner of the two yearold race in David Dunlops goodlooking colt Master John which came from behind in the stretch and finishing game and true under punishment won going away from rather a smart lot of youngsters All of Mr Dunlops horses look to be in excellent condition and they probably will be seen in front more frequently front now on onJockey Jockey Eddie Dtigau is expected hero on Sunday Jiext lie will remain at Moncreif Park until af er the Tnnrilhg of the D rby lu which he will have the mount ou Fauntleroy FauntleroyM M F Shecdy who a few seasons ago was a prominent rider today purchased the colt Danger of J F Purcell M PurcellM Pritchard has purchased the mare Arionette from Herman Brandt The latter claimed her from Pritchard after she was beaten in a race recently recentlySeveral Several offers have been made for Miss Herbert winuer of yesterdays breeders purse and the asso ¬ ciation probably will get a bonus for her in a trade for a stallion stallionApril April 1 has l cen officially set for the closing of the Moncreif Park meeting
