NEW CANADIAN REGULATIONS. Toronto, Ont., March 24. — On the first of April 1 there will come into force new regulations governing the free entry to Canada of animals for the improvement of stock. One of the following amended ■ regulations adopted by order in Council for the e guidance of imoorters and Custom House officers, • says: "No animal imported for the improvement of stock k shall be admitted free of duty unless the owner is s a British subject, resident in the British Empire, . or if more than one owner, each Is a British subject, . resident in the British Empire and there is furnished n an imi ort certificate stating that the animal is recorded - in a Canadian National Record or in a Foreign n Record recognized as reliable by the National Record d Committee. "A statutory declaration by the owner or one of f the owners, that he is a British subject, or that t each Is a British subject resident in the British h Empire, and that such animal is the Identical animal il described In such certificate, must be provided, and d that such animal is being imported into Canada for r the improvement of stock."
