CONTRIBUTORS TO AMOS TDRNEYS GOOD TOTAL FOR 1913 i ; Quite a fortunate turfman, indeed, was Amos Tnrney this year. In Horron, Kleburne, Flabbergast and Glint he raced four three-year-olds that might well excite the envy of any owner and it may be that Horron was quite the best of the year. At any rate, he won all of his races and, in defeating such as Calgary, llawtuorn, Buskin, Plate Glass, Sherwood, Cock o the Walk. Priscillian, Lahore and other good ones, gave convincing proof of his superior excellency. Of the other three, Kleburne was best and a shifty one when at his best. Glint showed surprising improvement at Latonia and probably will be a useful four-year-old. Young horses that show at their best in fall racing are usually good to follow in the racing of the next ear. In Bolala. Waterbass and Hustling Mr. Turney owned two-year-olds that won well for him and the prospect is that his stable will be a good one next year, possibly as good as it was this year, when its record was: Horse.
