CHESTERTON began slowly and finished fast through the last eighth. HOOS HOO showed speed, but tired in the stretch drive. BINGO was knocked out of anv chance at the start. LURIA, away forwardly. showed much speed and set a fast pace for the JUst half, but tired slightlv in tin stretch drive. SALON ran well and came Tast in the stretch. FINA- . ORMULU was forced to go wide throughout, but stood a hard drive in the stretch to save third place. AMAZON ran well, but tired slightly near the end. The latter was away poorly and showed high speed in racing into a contending position in he first three-eighths, but was forced wide on the stretch turn. THE NORMAN ran a good race. LADY MOONET was outpaced all the way. GLENCAIRN and GROAER HUGHES showed early speed and alternated in pacemaking to the stretch, then dropped back. Overweights. P.ESSIE LATIMER was away in a tangle and closed a big gap. FLORIN suffered from interference and tired sllghtlj-near the end. OREILLY ran a good race. INDOLENCE was caught in a jam at the half-mile ground. THE GANDER quit. The winner -was entered for 1914.sh00: no bid.
