MORE EQUINE ARRIVALS AT E0WIE. Washington, D. C, March 27.— John W. Bangle. the first of the American horsemen to return to ] Bowie from Cuba, found that his three-year aid Prohibition had grown into one of the grandest-looking specimens of the thoroughbred to be found In the east. Prohibition, a son of Voter ami Goody Good, she a daughter of Lamplighter, was developed by William Midgeley for Giffetd A. Cochran and sold to Pnngle last fall. Prohibit!.. n wintered at Bowie, and. although he did not grow in height, he has filled out and now- weighs upward of 1.100 pounds. Pangles colt is a probable starter in the Inaugural Handicap at Howie next Saturday. The going at the new track has been in excellent condition for working all winter, and Prohibition lias been galloping since the first of the year, litis ready to show three-quarters in 1:15 or thereabouts, ami with a couple of stiff works under his belt he will be fit. Another horse that will bear the Pangle silks at Bowie is a two-year-old by Ogden — Fair Atalanta. which caused a lot of trouble last fall. This colt did nothing less than bring to the track from Kentucky an epidemic which carried o82 several borst ■ of considerable value. This colt recovered, however, anil, like Prohibition, he lias been galloping since the first of the year. He is the most forward youngster at the track. Another horseman just back from Cuba is Paul Maderia, BOt long ago a jockey ami now the trainer of the plater Delia Mack. Among the ai rivals in the course of the last two or three da] s from New Orleans were the stables of Kmil Hera and James Johnston. W. A. Carter ami George Chancellor are at Howie from Havana. Frank Pliable has brought his string over from Laurel. There is too much clay at Laurel for train mj. in such wet weather as this part of the country has had in the last fortnight. Theodore Coles has received a consignment of three sons of Bobbie Koan, two three year olds and a two-year-old, from William L. Maupin. He likes all three of them. Coles trained their sire not many seasons back.
