BASH, moved into the lead at once and, making the pace fast all the way, held his opponents safe in the final drive. COI.CMPINE raced in closest pursuit and. finishing fast and gamely, outstayed PLEASANT DREAMS. The latter was crowded back in the early running, then came again, but tired in the closing strides. STAR FINCH was high in flesh and shuttled back in the first eighth, but came to the outsale i:i the final quarter and finished List. ARNOLD and FLARE raced green. Scratched— Merchant. 10S. A foul vas claimed, but not allowed. FKRNROCK was outpaced in the early running, but closed up resolutely under hard urging.
