RACE OF RACES WON BY A FILLY. London, England. May 30.--The substitute for the Epsom Derby, called the "New Derby," was run at Newmarket today and was won bv" E. Hultons chestnut filly Fifinoll.i. by Iolyinelns Silver Fowl. Mr. Fairios bay colt Kwang-Su, by Cicero Galiciu was second and John Sanfords bay colt Nassovian. by William the Third Veneration II. was third. Ten horses started. The prices againt the three placed were 5 1-2 to 1 on Fifinella. 3 to 1 on Kwang-Su and 5 1-2 to 1 on Nassovian. Fifinella is the sixth filly winner of the Derby, the others being Eleanor in lsol. Blink Bonny in 1K57, Shotover in 1SS2. Signorinetta in lttOS and Tagulic in 1*12. She was considered the best two-year-old in England last year, being rated eight pounds liettcr than Hie liest of the colts in the official Free Handicap, but was unexiiectodly beaten by I/ord P*ra~Ja filly Canyon in the One Thousand Guineas. May B. Her success in the Derby gave Mr. 1 1 n 1 1 "ii his first triumph in any of the five classics. Mr. Sanfords Nassovian again ran to the same position he gained in the Two Thousand Guineas and again was beaten by Kwang-Su. which I is a half-brother t.i the celebrities Lemberg audi Bayardo.
