BLUE PARADISE, away badly, closed a great gap and finished with a rush. VOCABULARY was always a forward contender, but tired in the final drive. CAVE MAN raced wide throughout, but closed a big gap. KEWPIE ONEIL showed the most early speed and took the lead again at the eighth post, but ran into a wet spot and tired. PORTIA ran well. PAGANINI quit and had no mishaps. RISPONDE was in tight quarters all the way. CHARLCOTE, after being saved behind the early leaders, responded with a rush when called on in tin; last half, took the lead in the last quarter and won going away. BET, after racing in nearest pursuit of the leader, took the lead and finished gamely under punishment, but tired near the end. MARTIAN was taken wide and repeatedly cut off, but finished fast through the hist eighth and outstayed ROBERT OLIVER for third place. The latter made ii game effort in the last quarter, but tired. SUN BRIAR set the pace brieny, then was taken back and, after being cut off on the stretcli turn, responded gamely to punishment and got up to win in the last stride. KASHMIR began slowly, but saved ground when entering the homestretch and finished with a belated rush. WAR MACHINE went into the air at the start." then raced wide on the turns, but closed a big gap and was gaining in the closing strides. RECOUNT was forced wide on the stretch turn, but came again under punishment and finished fast and close up. AMERICAN EAGLE raced in closest pursuit of the leader in the early running, but tired and tried to run out on the stretcli turn. DEBADOU ran well. PAPP had no mishaps and tired in the last eighth. CRIMPER saved ground on all the turns and finished fast Ami gamely under punishment, but was in tight quarters in the last sixteenth. TICKET improved his position steadily and easily outstayed the others for third place. MOSCOW A was hard ridden through the last quarter and finished resolutely. RONKISS, shullled back at the start, was pocketed to the last turn, then closed up gamely when clear in the last quarter and outstayed ASSUME for second place. ASSUME displayed excellent speed in setting the pace for five-eighths, but tired badly when challenged. FLORA FINCH began slowly, but moved up fast at the eighth post, then tired in the final drive. LEICESTER ran forwardly, but appeared handicapped by the going.
