GRANT HORSE ASSOCIATIONS REQUEST LEXIXGTOX, Ky., October 24. The Thoroughbred Horse Associations headquarters here has been notified by the Interstate Commerce Commission that its request for suspension of the American Railways Express Companys changes iu the tariff covering attendants witii race horses has been granted. The changes, which amounted to an increase in the cost of shipment by requiring one attendant with every four horses or less making up carload shipment, and then fixing the transportation charges for attendants to be two free, two at half fare and any in excess of four, full fare each, were dated to become effective October 22. The Interstate Commerce Commission, division 2, sat at Washington Friday and ordered suspension until February 19, 1922, and announced "That a hearing concerning the lawfulness of the rates, charges, regulations and practices stated in said schedules and contained in said tariffs," will in the meantime be held.
