DORIAN PAILS HIS PARTY Forsyths hurdle race was Wednesdays at ¬ traction and the crowd yesterday was the big ¬ gest since the opening It was won by the post favorite Proverb and the victory was an ex ¬ tremely popular one Proverb went to the front shortly after the start and nothing ever both ¬ ered him himFred Fred Foster had his horse Dorian in the han ¬ dicap with only 99 pounds on his back and judging from the way the Fosterites backed him they must have thought he was a real good thing He certainly was a good horse but Bar ret made entirely too much use of him the first threequarters and when the screw came on the end Dorian was all out Simmons got to and passed the Foster horse just below the sixteenth pole and beat him out by a length and a half halfPanout Panout was reported broken down and the careless ring laid at some stages as good as 8 to 1 against him Pat Noonan had engaged Cay wood to ride the speedy gelding and he and his party backed him Caywood was away in the first flight with a running start and Panout set ¬ ting a pace to suit himself won pulled almost to a walk at the finish finishThe The opening event was at five furlongs and Oreusa at a long price outfooted her field from the start winning in a staggering finish from Hessville who was high in flesh and unlucky during the race raceThe The twoyearold race had eleven starters and Little Helen the post favorite won it as she pleased
