NO PARTNERSHIP PARTNERSHIPMr Partnership Mr J D Smith the well known turfman Truman said this morning that the story printed in a morning paper to the effecfi effect that he and Mrs Byron McClelland Macmillan his sister would constitute a new racing firm the coming season under the firm name of McClelland Macmillan Smith was untrue He says that his sister has no desire to form turf business and that moreover no partnership has been formed formedIt formed It has been generally understood for some time that His Lordship the magnificent chest ¬ nut son of Rayon dQr dr Salie Sallie McClelland Macmillan was the joint property of Mrs McClelland Macmillan and Mr Smith and he will be raced in the name of Mc ¬ Clelland Leland Smith but there will be no partner ¬ ship stable by that name Mrs McClelland Macmillan owns several other promising youngsters which will be trained by Mr Smith but he owns no inter ¬ est in them and will only be employed as trainer Mr Smith also has an excellent stable of his own outside of his interest in His Lord ¬ ship and they are his exclusively and no one else has any part ownership in them themMr hemmer Mr Smith is training his string including His Lordship at present over his track out home He said today that the great colt was looking well and giving every indication of be ¬ ing King a sensational performer the coming season He will take his string to Louisville as soon as the winter breaks a little so as to give His Lordship a special prep over the Louisville track which is very sandy and very like the tracks east Lexington Leader
