NOTES OF THE TURF TURFThe Tufted The Board of Stewards of the Pacific Coast Jockey Club after a careful hearing decided that there was no evidence against H M Mason that warranted his being denied the privil privilege ¬ eges edges of the track and notified Secretary Green that his entries wera era to be accepted Judge Murphy put himself on record by voting against Mr Masons reinstatement Mason was suspended at Oakland when Lobos won a twoyearold toehold race and the matter was after ¬ ward referred to the Pacific Coast Jockey Club as the colt had run his previous race there Judge Wilson said he had seen nothing wrong in his races and declined to take action so the stewards finally took it up It was said that Mason had raced the colt with lead boots and in shoes but he proved to the satisfaction of the board that he did not run in shoes and did not wear any boots San Francisco Ex
