threequarters treasurers in any kind of company Calla Lily ran as good a race as the winner She was shut off at the start and generally badly ridden Watch her ip the same grade of com ¬ pany panky Con King It was a peculiarly run race Apparently the boj bo s were instructed to let Mary Black set the pace and all waited on her to do so Contrary to her general rule though she too had waiting orders The consequence was there was little ortio oration fast pace Don Quixote showed himself to be a good horse to win as the race was run Daisy F got up to and passed him in the stretch and at the eighth post looked like a sure winuer winner Tne Tine Don was game however and despite the fact that Daisy F bore in on him he managed to win out in a fierce drive Mary Black swerved badly after second out to the last ounce third and fourth driving Forte won as he pleased The last time he and Prince Blazes met the Prince beat him away off Today Forte was evidently on edge and Gray took no chances He got to the front as soon as possible Plantain ran a good race He had not speed enough to beat Forte but had all the others cinched after going the first mile He is a useful horse under light weight Prince Blazes hardly ran up to his mark He needs strong handling though and Dupee Dupe hardly filled the bill Sardonic looked to have a royal chance on her class but she was never a
