drive second third and fourth were under full sail Timemaker Tidemark showed himself to be a stayer slayer It did not look on the far turn as though anything had an earthly chance to beat Miss Marion She was far in front and seemed to be going well in hand There was a heavy wind blowing up the stretch and when the filly faced it it seemed to stop her She got into a bad mixup mix too on the first turn She was jammed in between Timemaker Tidemark Basquil Basque and Burlesque II and was almost thrown Had this accident not happened she would probably have been far enough in front to last the route When Timemaker Tidemark started to come he came like a steam engine Basquil Basque also came with power at the end In fact he ran a cracking good race after which he was worked out threeeighths of a mile making the route he went one and threeeighths miles Burlesque II deserves attention from now on He had a rough journey and ran better than the figures show Storm Kine Kline and Dunois Dubois were knocked out on the first turn and neither had a chance Donna Rita stopped as if short Eva Rice showed some speed The early pace was terrific v Scratched Dare II 110 Plantain 98 Mistral II 110
