came to life with a start aud Maud ran an extra good race His awakening was no more sudden than was Hampdens Dampens dull spell The last time these two met Hampden Hempen won oif coif by himself while Molo Moo was hardly able to raise a gallop Today Molo Moo showed he was much Who bast baste and had to be to win He looked hopelessly beaten entering the backstretch but he picked up his field one by one and although he swerved at the head of the stretch won com ¬ paratively proactively easily at the end Prince Blazes ran his usual honest race He was right there and lighting for the money jail the way From a bad beginning Graziella Grazie ran a good race Heigh High Ho stopped almost to a walk the last twenty yards Eiidad Elided was sharply shut off at the first turn Considering this his race was not far out of line King Bermuda did not run to the mark It was a bad race all through Molo Moo was run up 300 over his entered price and bought in by his hisior hosier ior Igor for the odd 5 terrific drive for the place The Devil was best and had an easy time of it He is a nice little horse and a most consistent performer Mis Miss ¬ tral trail II was lucky to get the place With a stronger boy up Plantain would have surely obtained that position Seaton Eaton was too light to help the colt any when the p nch inch came When he tried to use his whip he dropped his horses head and Plantain floundered all over the track the last eighth Al Fresco showed improvement He deserves notice hereafter Evidently the going was against Burlesque II At any rate he could not raise a gallop had speed enough to hold his own all the way The colt displayed gameness too in stalling off Vice Regals Regales rush at the end The latter was well played and well ridden He loves the mud but seems to be a bad horse on the dry Double Dummy saved a lot of ground by taking the short route on the turn He looked all over a win ¬ ner near when straightened away for home but quit badly when the pinch came Moncreith Noncredit is a bad horse these days and Tranby Tabby a plodder Glenmoyne Lennon was hard ridden all the way He was a false favorite Pitfall showed some early speed but like Glonmoyne
