GOSSIP OF THE TURF The meeting now in progress will not close Saturday as originally advertised The La ¬ tonia toni management in compliance with the wishes of many of the horsemen that have been racing at the overtberiver overbear track nearly all of them in fact has decided to extend the meet ¬ ing King two weeks It has been stated in the En ¬ quirer quire on several occasions that the meeting would be extended if the weather and track conditions should appear to warrant and now that the outlook for a period of good weather is favorable the extension has been officially announced and the meeting will close Saturday November 19 instead of the coming Saturday SaturdayThe Saturday The racing will be kept up to the same stand ¬ ard Ward of excellence that has obtained so far and whatever other faults may exist the racing at the present meeting has been as clean and as free from suspicicion suspiration as that at any meeting held this year With a good track the next two weeks excellent sport is assured as with the exception of the McDowell string all the better horses that have thus far furnished the sport are still at the Kenton county track ready to take part in the racing tho thou remainder of the meeting Aside from the stakes the induce ¬ ments aments for them to race will be just as great as heretofore The purses will be the same aver ¬ aging about 300 each To get out the very best horses at the track several handicaps will be put on with 100 added in each case There will also be a couple of twomile toile races during tbe tube continuance It is in fact the intention of Secretary Hopper to make the racing for the extra two weeks as attractive as possible as it is his desire to have the season wind up a nearly as may be in ablaze of gtory tory Tin cinuati cinematic Enquirer
