too Burns had sense enough to take him back the first part and so avoid the early pace which was terrific The colt was tiring through the stretch but Burns did not give him a chance to stop He also bore out but not enough to do any damage Frank Bell and Billy Mason sh wed phenomenal speed The latter stopped badly but Bell hung on gamely and perhaps lack of condition kept him from winning Still he was greatly handicapped by a bad ride Dave Waldo Weald was interfered with slightly at the start Gold Fox had little or no speed Walkenshaw Waukesha can win in lower company Scratched
