NOTES OF THE TURF. The Crescent City Jockey Club has announced four stakes for 2-year-olds to close January 10, Each is of the guaranteed value of ,000. The names of the stakes and the dates of running are aB follows: Premier 8takes, three furlongs, January 25; Bayonet Stakes, four furlongs, February 8; Lexington Stakes, four furlongs, March 8, and the Lightning Selling Stakes, five furlongs, March 15. Paloma, the dam of the Burns and Waterhouse two-year-old Yellow Tail that won at Oakland a few days ago has thrown four other good racehorses in Armitage, Palomacita, Don Clar-encio and Miss Rowena.
