Although the nominations to the steeplechases and hurdle races to be run at the com ing Bennings meeting are not known, the subscribers are given below: In the maiden hurdle race, W. C. Daly, R. G. Fell, H. Rozier Dulany, W. C. Hayes. C. H. Burkamp, C. Littlefield, Jr., Charles MottandP. S.P.Randolph have each entered one horse, while B. F. Clyde has two. Clyde has two entered in the Maryland Hurdle Handicap, with R. G. Fell, L M. Fleming, H. Hay, W. F. Hayes, C. Little-field, Jr., James McLaughlin and Colonel J. H. L. Strathy having one each. Clyde also heads the list of nominators in the Easter Steeplechase, for he has made three entries, while H. R. Dulany, L. M. Fleming, H. Hay, Ivan Fox, W. C. Hayes, C. H. Burkamp, C. Littlefield, Jr., Merryman and Nicholas, Colonel J. H. L,. Strathy, and L. Waterbury have made the usual one each. In the Bennings Steeplechase the nominations are the same as in the Easter. Personne will not be allowed to run any more at Oakland. Why, was thus told by the Chronicle the day after he ran a good second to Joe Mussel: "The entry of Personne will be hereafter refused. This is a just ruling. Personne started at Oakland on February 21. In a one and a sixteenth miles race, with 103 pounds in the saddle, he finished absolutely last, such horses as Tom Calvert and Claudiana finishing in front of him. In this tace Personno opened up at 2 to 1 on account of his class, bat he had no support and drifted back to 12 to 1. Yesterday, with fair racing luck, Personne would have won the one and one-sixteenth miles race. As it was he beat such horses as Dare II. and Tom Cromwell. Such improvement is not healthy, especially as the ownor had a delegation from Fresno play his horse all three ways." Owners are already making preparations for the coming meeting in Washington. Tom Healey has already shipped a carload there and will send more this week from Morris Park. F. V. Alexandre will send a string of nine in a little over a week, which will include Sanders and Beu Viking, two Washington handicap can didates.; Tyrian, Scannell, Leando, Lady Exile and the two-year-olds Bethel, Liberia, Etymology, Contra, Sun Glass and Scarva, all of which are entered in the stake events for two-year-olds.
