Joe Ullman is at his best and his race was a good one but at the weights Merops was best and should have won. McNickles finish was weak. Hugh Penny was very speedy but high in flesh and hardly up to a hard contest. The race will probably put him on edge. He is good. Winner — B. c, by Racine — Rosebud. Start straggling. Won handily. Prompto was off flying and never gave the others a chance. He is at his best and quite speedy. Highland Ball was always a contender and ran above his recent form. Opponent can do better. Horatio was off so badly as to have but little chance. He made up a lot f ground and was running fast at the end. Lavators race should be thrown out. So should Guilders. Both can run faster than the time of the race. Hardly was not fit.
