BIG YEARNINGS. Two carloads of Castleton yearling 22 colts and 14 fillios, were shipped by express last Tuesday. They were sent to Brookdale, Red Bank, New Jersey, to be trained for their owners Messrs. J. R. and F. P. Eeene. They are the get of the lamented Domino, of St. Leonards, St. Saviour, Chorister, Tournament, etc. The Dominos are the last of the get of that racehorse. Capt. Sam Walker, the veteran caretaker of yearlings at Castleton, accompanied his charges to their destination. A feature of this shipment of yearlings was the fact that they were the largest ever raised at Castleton, and it is probable that the average weight of the eleven largest ones was never excelled in Kentucky. Although they were not exceptionally fat, baing simply in a healthy, growing condition the weight of eleven of the colt3 and fillies was as follows : colts. Lbs. Sheen Katherine II 890 Falsetto Queenston 880 Pontiac Bonnie Gal 880 The next largest yearling to the Castleton lot reported this season was the colt by Masetto Quesal, sold recently at public sale by Major B. G. Thomas to Mr. Foxhall Eeene. He weighed 885 pounds, and was the largest yearling that had ever been weighed at Dixiana Stud. Thoroughbred Record.
