Barrack made a strong bid at the eighh post but died away again at the end. It was a very tired lot. Decoy ran a good, honest race. Resoaa had a lot of bad racing luck. So had Dick Furbar, who finished very stroDg. 8trathbroeck ran below the notch. Still be nee in a bad position at the start and could never get through. Hoods Brigade looked high in flesh? He was by far the best at the weights today Flick rode a good race on him. Maceo was probably short. Little or nothing has been done with him since his last win at Harlom. Beauch imp rode him out to the end. The race should do him good. Boaey Boy was placed during the early etagas of the jonrney and finished stonth. It seems no races best from bahind. Branch stopped on tne turn bat cime again in the stretcb. He wonld havo got the place in another stride. Evidsntly the hard race of Saturday took th edge off Prince Blazes. Winner B. g, by Cortez Mary Williams. Off at the first break to a good start. Won well in hand: second drivin?; third cleverly Sim W. surprised his owner nnd everyone else by running well in the lumpy going. He was a good horse today and had the race won bafore the stretch was roached. Racivan got all tangled up at the start. He finished very strong and would have given Sim W. an argument with clear sailing. Mniat is very speedy, bat faint-hearted. Montgomery didnt look fit and ran a bad race, He did not have his usual turn of speed and stopped before going a half mile. It did not seem that the boy on Harry Thoburn tried through the stretch. If he did it was a very weak effort. Molo was short on speed and ran a dullrace. The winner was entered to be sold for 00, but was bid up to SI, 100 by F. W. Doss.
