Post 5 minute. Start good. Won driving: second, third and fourth driving also. Nellie Searcy was well backed and ran a good race. She waB fortunate thn ughcut and very lucky to get through in the s retch. The fllly caused some interference about the eighth pi.st,bnt not enough to call for judicial action. Brown Dick was slow to get in motion and haa a lot of bad luck, but finished gamely under punishment. Alice B. was perhaps a trifle short. She hung in the last sixteenth. La Champagne is a rank quitter. She has a lot of speed, but seems to be of no account as a racing tool. Bamlat tad no chance from where she got away. The field was so large that she was interfered with on every turn. Nettle ran out on the stretch turn. Deceive ran a good honest race. Scratched 13384 Effie L., 102. He was about the only starter that was not interfered with more or less during the race. Mission showed fine speed and did well. Satan ran a crackicg god race. He was roughly treated thrcughout end did not seem to have a chance at the head of the stretch, but in the last quarter ho closed very stoutly. Beauchamp on Dr. Tarr was the cause of all the bumping and interference. He cut Tommy OBrien off and almost threw him over the fence. Mitchell was obliged to pull up to keep from falling. Mark Aloha II. He ran a good race. Scratched 13927 Jeff, 105; 13569 Rusticus, 105; Pluton, 102. Overweights Outburst, 21 pounds; Dr. Tarr, 11. Mont Eagle, place, 4 to 5; show, out. Winr.er B. h, by Faverdale Amnlet. Post 7 minutes. Start good. Won under a strong pull; the next two were driving hard. Mizpah was a good hoise today. He went to the front when ready and won running away. Ho ran like a stake horse. Maggie Davis had her usual amount of speed and her race was a great improvement over her last. Still she had considerable weight off, which may account for it. Fervor s last race may have taken the edge from his speed. At any rate he ran a rather disappointing race. Horace belongs in lower company. Sim W. was beaten off. Scratched 13863 Molo, 108 ; 13929 Richard J., 115. Conected weights Mizpah, 105. Mizpah, place, 7 to 10; show, out. Winner Br. g, by Duke of Montrose Minnehaha BeUe. Post 5 minutes. Start good, The first three were driving and out to the limit. Marcato, was lucky and ran one of his bost races, and, although he bolted at the head of the stretchc losiDg considerable ground, he hung on just loag enoogh to win. As the race was run Celtie Baro was far the best. He was carried almost to the outside fence by Kenmoro Qneen on the first turn and this compelled him to take the longest route. Crowhurst rode with judgment in not making up his lest ground too rapidly and when the stretch was reached the horse finished with a tremendous rush. Had the route been a trifle further he would have won. Murat Bhowed a lot of speed and ran a good race. Rose, on Plantain, rode a rough race. Harry Thoburn is ready. Should the track get muddy watch him. Scratched 13945 Elsie M., 102; 13570 Croef.U3, 109; 13844 Elidad, 107. Marcato, place, 3 to 5 ; show, out. Celtic Bard, placo. 6 to 5 ; show, 1 to 2. Start fair. Won easily ; second in a mild drive: third and fourth under keen pressure. San Cecelia is in fine fettle and broke the track record. Barring Lady Elite she may bo best of her ega and sex at the track. Thrive was skilfully rated and ceme strongly at the end. This is the best race he has run on the local tracks. Merito got a trifle the worst of the send-off but ran her usual good honest race. St. Ivor weakened and quit badly in the stretch. Beauchamp made a bad mistake by taking him to the front and setting the stiff pace that he did. The last three were outclassed and belong in lower company. Had Overton taken the rail and come on about his business in the stretch there wouid have beenlnothing to it. The colt was cheny ripe and ran a tine rac3. Aureole finished gamely under punishment.
