NOTES OF THE TURF, Sloan and Hursts horses will bo sold at auction in the Hawthorne paddock, Saturday, at 1 p.m. sharp. Besides the good performer Prince Blazes, winner of ,600 in the last fourteen months, several UEeful younger horses composing the string will be sold. Selections from the etables of other owners will pass under the hammer at the same time. Among those to be offered are Crystal "Dome, Charmante, Warm Baby, Captain Todd, Seattle, Assessor, Poncho-toula, Appeal, Allie P., Banner Blue, Allie Blue and Fnro. Catalogues will bo ready today. A very promising dark one in Welchs string at Saratoga is Somerset, a lengthy, good looking colt by Groat Tom Miss Ryan, who was highly tried as a yearling, but on account of meeting with a mishap early in the season has not been raced. He is, however, now doing extremely well in his work and is likely to be the medium of a grand conp. The three-year-old filly Glasnevin, by St. J Leonards Conntess, died at Windsor recently. She was a creditable performer last year but had been out of form during the pieeent racing season. At Windsor last week the judges suspended j jockey T. Walker indefinitely because of sus-piciona riding. - j Okette, the two-year-old brother to Den dOro, ia reported to have done some fast work at Saratoga recently while in preparation for the Futurity.
