Monday being Labor Day a huge crowd is expected at Hawthorne and for the better accommodation of those who will throng to this popular course arrangements have bean made with the Illinois Central, Burlington and Metropolitan elevated roads to run extra trains to the track beginning at 12:50 p. m. A full course steeplechase and a dash of a mile and a half will be among the attractions of the day. With fine racing weather, abundance of good horses, a great increase in tho number of capable riders and well arranged programs, there is every reason to expect a continuation of the remarkably prosperous local turf season.
