BHAUCHAWP GONE. ! At the conclusion of raciDg Saturday tho Hawthorne judges gave out the following decision as the result of their investigation of the riding dote in a numbar of races by jockey Beauchamp: September 11 jeekpy W. Beauchamp was bub-ponded pending investigation of Jiis riding at Hawthorne On that date ha rode a bad looking race on the horse Isen, riding with a very short rein-hold and apparently intent on keeping out of the race for place honors; nearing the half mile pola he rode his horse right into a pocket. In the stretch he made the customary whip exhibition, finishing about six lengths behind the winner. September 7 we ma le note of his ride on tho same horso. In this race he was off second, and alternating in third and fourth positions until nearing th i stretch, right on the rail, never making a m va to help his horse tha last furlon;, ho finished about five lengths back of the winner. Wo are satisfied ho rode both of these races for a purpose. Bcahchamps riding has not bo9n above suspicii n during the season, especially upon the horsas H roics, Sam Fullen, Title, Murat, Del Paso II., Sarrano, Algareta and Rifle. Our investigation has been searcuing and together with evidenca ob.ained some weaks ago loaves nc doub; as to his guilt, which in our opinion justifies the most extreme punishment. Ia accordance with the rulos governing same we this day rule him off the turf. James H. Reks?
