IROQUOIS AND SENSATION DEAD. Two great sons of Ltamington have died within a few days. They were P. Lorillards Sensation and General W. H. Jacksons Iroquois. Sensations fame as a racehorse was confined to his two-year-old career when he won eight races and met with no defeat. A split hoof lod to his retirement to the stud where his success has been a tribute, to his greatness as a worthy representative of a splendid line of racehorses. Today his two-year-old Bon Democrat is the bst of his age in Bnglatd and he stands second on the list of winning sires of the year in that country. Iroquois was the more noted of the two as a race horse, his fame as the only American winner of the Epsom Derby and the St. Leger being world wide. In tbe stud he has begotten many fine racehorses of which none were batter than tho two brothers Huron and G. W. Johnson. Messrs. Bromley and Co.s Windmere that ran third in this years Futurity is one of his sons. The loss of such grand horses is eevere to their owners and the breeding interests of this couLtry alike. s.
