GEO GIE BEATS 3TAY BhACH. That fast filly Georgia turned the tables on May Beach at Hawthorne Tuesday, and at five furlongs gave "Texas" Woods favorite a sound beating. The lest time the pair came together they each carried 114 pounds and the race was at tbh same distance five furlongs. Then May Beach had bad racing lnck but eventually won rather easily. In yesterdays event May Beach was carrying 119 and giving Gaorgie five ponnds. She fonnd this task too hard a one and not only did Georgie beat the Texas bred filly but so did Hermoso. MayBeach was a stanch favorite at 3 to 5 nnder a heavy public play. She did not seem to have her usual speed, however, and could never get to Georgie. Burns made a strong effort with her at the head of the strolch but the filly had nothing left to respond with. Georgias win was a lucky one. Sha got away flying, always had a clear course and was well ridden. On the other hand Hermoso was interfered with on the far turn and never really got straightened out until the stretch was reached. -Then he finished like a wild horse and had the route been a trifle longer he surely would have scored. Since Nick Hall lost his filly Canace out of a selling race he has been on the war path and declares that ho will run up every horse that wins a soiling, race in the future. He started his work after Croesus won the mile aud three furlong event. Croesus scored like a good racehorse and when put up for sale Hall raised him from 00 to 00. Sam Wagner stood the raise and kept Croesus. Tommy Barns rode Tappan in the Croesus race and seeing he had no chance to win at the sixteenth post eased the gelding. Judge Kuhl would not stand this and fined Master Burns 00. Found ran away from Macy and Arbace3 in the fifth race, at one mile and a sixteenth. The Ally had speed to loan and at one stage of the journey was about a sixteenth of a mile in front. Shi rounded the Btrctch turn with a lead of thirty lengths but from there home Mitchell oaBod her up. Arbaces and Masy had a battle royal for the place, Arbaces getting it by a neck. Hagerdon again showed his quality in the last race. Ho carried 111 pounds and Master Dominick and ran five and one-half furlongs in 1:07, winning rather easily from Alice Turner and Capron. Out of the fit st race came a close finish and also a disqualification. Tom Gilmore, who ran around his field all the way, won in a driving fiuieh by a neck from Tckla and Irish Jowel. After weighing out Barns, who iode Bicor, lodged a .claim of foul against Dean, on Irish Jeaol and it was allowed. Burns was roughly treated, but at the time his colt was beaten. A big field of ordinal y selling platers was in the second race, and Miss Lynab, the 3 to 1 favorite, won running away. Too filly is a quick breaker, and she opened up a winning lead early. She was tiring at the end, and had to b hand ridden to stall oil Brishtio 8. Jockey N. Hill, who roda Plantain when he ran such a bad race last Saturday, has been suspended by Juoga Kuhl.
